Our Varieties

All of our varieties are north origin (Vaccinium corymbosum), high-bush form blueberries, which are more resistant to cold winter than the other sorts of blueberries. Climate of the region is very similar to Eastern Black Sea climate with cold winters and because of this property it is appropriate for our varieties. According to this climatic conditions the harvest begins in mid-July and continues to mid-September. Additionally the soil has an acidic functionality.

Some varieties of high-bush form north origin blueberries are self-fertile. The size of fruits varies also in different kinds of blueberries. The fruit of some varieties are medium size with a beautiful flavor. Some varieties of blueberries are suitable for picking by hand whereas other varieties are suitable for machine picking. Some varieties are good for household consumption while others are better for/destinated to industrial processing.

Considering all this different features, we grow nine varieties of blueberries as mentioned below.

Duke: big fruit size, medium flavor, a variety of durable to cold of winter and efficient.
Patriot: big fruit size, excellent flavor and dark color.
Spartan: very big fruit size, excellent flavor and light color.
Bluecrop: big fruit size, good flavor, a variety of efficient.
Elliot: medium fruit size, tartish flavor, a variety of preferred in baking.
Nelson: very big fruit size, bright and excellent flavor. Table consumption is preferred.
>Chandler: very big fruit size, bright, and excellent flavor .
Toro: large fruit size, good flavor. Table consumption is preferred.
Brigitta: medium fruit size, tartish flavor, dark color.
